I started the book but got sidetracked by Mary Karr and Billy Collins. Yet I had the forethought to bring my copy and have Andy sign it over his ham sandwich and my pasta at Jubilee. When I got home I realized I hadn't asked him a single question about the book. Ah well. Next conference. : )

Eric, I'm now challenged to pick this one up and read. Adding this one to the list inspires me to better tackle the looming pile on my desk that already awaits me. Thank you!

I completely understand the time it takes to work through books like these! Sometimes I feel ashamed of the number of months I may spend on a book, but I want to turn them around like a good wine to extrapolate all the flavors and weigh the body.

By the way--your spam protection makes me do math. Doesn't it know I can't balance my checkbook?
